Trials & Sale. The Classic has received record number of
entries in the Ranch Horse Sale. We have several new horse
breeders in this year’s sale. There will be several top
cowboys and cowgirls competing for the 2008 Supreme NCC
Ranch Horse title. Tuesday, February 19th looks to be an
exciting first day for the 17th Annual Nebraska Cattlemen’s
Classic.
Tuesday, will also feature the Working Dog Trials & Sale.

under way on Wednesday, February 20th. Cattlemen from
allacross the Midwest are bringing bulls and heifers that

Judging Contest. The Classic has teamed up with UNL, Matt
Ellicott, to hold a Beef Judging Contest for FFA, 4-H and
College youth from all across the Midwest. The interest in
the this new event is tremendous. Saturday is a very busy
day with the Juniors checking in for the Classic Junior Show
on Sunday. The Classic Junior Show will start at 8:00 a.m.
on Sunday, February 24th.
The Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic is excited for the 2008
event and yet we are already putting together some new
ideas and changes for the 2009 Classic. The Beef Industry
has changed over the last 5 years and continues to change
daily. The Classic is looking to add some new events to
provide new benefits for cattlemen consigning to the event
and commercial cattlemen that are looking to buy bulls and
heifers. The other area the Classic will look to enhance is
the Classic Junior Show. We will be looking to make several
enhancements that can offer Juniors new opportunities at the
Classic.
