Classic Dog
Trials and Sale to be held Tuesday, February 19, 2008
Dog Check-In: 9:00 a.m.
Exhibitor Meeting: 9:30 a.m. Trials: 11:00 p.m. Sale: 7:00
p.m.
Entries:
Entries close November 25, 2007.
Age: Age limit
is 8 months to 48 months as of January 1, 2008. Bred females
will not be accepted. A
maximum of 10 dogs will me accepted for the trial and sale.
Work: All dogs
will work cattle only. Handler will work dogs on the ground.
All dogs will compete in the trials. The dogs will have an
open preview.
Fees: Entry fee
is $100 per dog. (Entry Fee’s are non-refundable.) An eight
percent (8%) commission is
charged on the sale dogs.
Memberships:
All consignors must be members of the Nebraska Stock Dog
Association.
Sift: The Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic reserves the rights
to eliminate animals that in their opinion, are
not up to the quality standards, are unsound, or do not
perform well. All screening will be done prior to the
sale.
Health Requirements:
Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Rabies vaccine (within
6 months), Negative to
Heart Worm Test, Parvo Virus, Parvo Virus Booster 30 to 60
days before the sale.
Advantage or Frontline Flea product is required to be
administrated within 30 days of sale. Bring proof of
vaccinations when checking in. No tests will be done at the
sale. General Health Certificates are required.
If the dogs have been tested for epilepsy, test of eyes,
hearing, or hip check, please note on the certificate.
Check-In:
Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the Ag Pavillion.
All dogs in trials must sell!
Trails: $2,500
Payout- $1,000 cash award to the Supreme Dog, $500 cash
award to the Res. Supreme
Classic Working Dog, $100 cash awards to the remaining 8
places. All sale dogs will compete in the trials.
Dogs will be asked to outrun
and fetch. Dogs will be asked to show basic work, load in a
trailer, show the
ability to navigate in obstacles and do general ranch work,

obstacles and do general ranch work. Dogs will work cattle
only. The trials will be judged by a 3 person
committee. All dogs in the trials will be in the sale.
All entries must be mailed to
the Classic office by November 25, 2007. Entries must
include 2 pictures of
the dog, entry form, consignment agreement form, entry fee,
and video footage on the dog. The video
should show general confirmation on the dog, show the dog
working some cattle and a basic outrun and
fetch. The videos will be reviewed to screen the dogs if
necessary.
Consignors and exhibitors at
the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic agree to hold harmless, for
any and all liability arising out of accidents or injuries
sustained at the show and sale, Nebraska Cattlemen’s
Classic, the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, Nebraska
Cattlemen, Buffalo County Ag Society, and the Nebraska Stock
Dog Association.
Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic
reserves to management the final and absolute right to
interpret these rules
and regulations and to arbitrarily settle or determine all
matters, questions, or differences in regard hereto
or otherwise arising out of or connected with or incident
to, the show and sale. |
